Linda Edna Cardellini's parents include businessmen Wayne David Cardellini and Lorraine (Hernan). They were born in Redwood City in California. She comes from Italian, German (from the paternal maternal grandmother), Irish and Scottish descent. Linda was the eldest child of California was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. James went on portraying the role of Countess Natasha Rostova for the television adaptation War & Peace (2016). James also appeared as Baby Driver (2017) and in period television dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (18) as well as The Dig (2021), and in musicals Mamma Mia! Here We Go again (2018) and Yesterday 2019 Her portrayal of Pamela Anderson for the biographical show Pam & Tommy in 2022 won her the Golden Globes and Primetime Emmy Awards.
