Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria is a Romanian actor. She was awarded the British Academy Television Award Best actress for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. The actress is fluent in French, German and English. Her mother is professional player of the violin. Her father is an actor as well as a theatre instructor at one of Romania's leading theater schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award during the Young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008, she was recognized as"a European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She starred as a Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's 4 luni3 3 days (four months three weeks and 2 three weeks and two days) that was honoured with an award of the Palme d'Or and other prizes at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. Also, she starred in the film by Francis Ford Coppola Youth Without Youth. She was also in 2008 as Yasim anwar, a character from the BBC 5-episode miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca starred in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. She later had a prominent character in the 2014 movie Fury in which she played an German woman who was named Irma Aunt of Emma.
