Robyn Rihanna Fenty, also known as Rihanna is a Barbadian artist and songwriter. She has brought us hits like Pon de Replay SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. She's a hugely popular performer who has sold more than 41 million albums across the globe and more than 150 million songs. Born in Barbados she grew up listening to reggae music, and began singing when she was quite young. Due to the turmoil in her household and the fights her parents were having, she decided to take up music. Then she realized that she would like to make a profession of an artist. When she was still in high school she joined a musical group and was invited to perform to be a part of Evan Rodgers. The producer was extremely impressed by the talent of this teenager. The producer asked her to relocate to New York in order to take on a full-time job as a singer which she gladly did. Rihanna made her first album and was an instant hit. Her peppy foot-tapping songs became the hot favorites of teens, which led Rihanna to make films and films. She's a young, skilled woman that has grown into an icon of fashion and popular teenager. Rihanna uses her fame to the fullest extent her celebrity and has been able to support many charity causes.
